Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, getting tired of being compared to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi insists he did not care who won the Ballon d'Or 2012.
Following the release of the list of 23 players nominated for the name of the Ballon d'Or, Messi again being compared to Ronaldo. Understandably both players are considered the best in the world today.
Messi, who won the World Player 2009, 2010 and 2011, were getting tired of the comparison. The Argentine international striker assess a number of Barcelona and Madrid players, including Ronaldo, deserves the Ballon d'Or title.
"I do not know anyone who is on the nomination list. I would choose Xavi, Andres Iniesta and definitely one of my compatriots. I think it could be Iker Casillas, he's one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and also Ronaldo," said Messi as Football Espana reported.
"If something happens, the media tried to compare us. I myself and Ronaldo only rivals on the field, nothing more. They keep looking for material to compare us. Thing that makes me tired," he continued.
Although favored to win the Ballon d'Or again, Messi insists he does not care about the title. "I do not think, do not!" he said. "I was lucky to have got it three times," he continued.
"But I went into the year where I will not win it. My style stays the same. I never look for the title," said Messi. viva
